We're less than two weeks away from the start of the 2026 Canadian Biathlon Championships and Biathlon Festival and we're expecting close to 400 athletes from all across Canada and the US! We are still looking for a number of volunteers, particularly on the Wednesday and Thursday race days.
Key roles that you may want to consider are:
- Range Recorders - these are important roles to ensure that the athletes shooting is properly recorded. You're right in the shooting range and up close to the action.
- Course Maintenance and Recorders - you'll be making sure our athletes have a safe and exciting course to race on.
- Stadium Set Up - these roles are critical to ensuring that we have an efficient race venue and you'll be done before the races start (you'll also get your workout in for the day so you won't need to go to the gym!)
- Race Starter and Start Marshall - if you have previous experience with this, great - if not, we can provide training and support. This is a great role and you'll get to see all the racers as they come to the start line.
